Study of critical failure surface influencing factors for loose rock slope

Abstract In current research, a novel geometrical technique is introduced to estimate the length ( L ) of sliding arc by considering slip surface entry point distance d e ). Morgenstern-Price limiting equilibrium and strength reduction methods are selected within framework SLOPE/W FLAC 3D softwares respectively, study mechanism stability-effecting factor for loose rock slope comprise two different material. Also, variability influence parameters (cohesion force friction angle) depth pore water pressure on safety factor, failure D distribution range critical (CFS) investigated through software. The results show that shear plays significant role in altering overall stability CFS slope. Shallow with composite much easier occur subjected material heterogeneity. These findings can be effectively used reinforcement design.
